Bubby’s
Website.Bubby’s
Neighborhood.Tribeca
Address. 120 Hudson St, New York, NY 10013
Named after the Yiddish word for grandmother, Bubby’s dishes out some of the most popular home-style brunch in New York City. A neighborhood haunt for more than 30 years, the restaurant’s irresistible pancakes are largely to thank.
The hardest part is choosing between the chewy sourdough pancakes and award-winning traditional flapjacks (I’m partial to the traditional pancakes). Once settled, decide on a topping like blueberries, carmelized bananas with toasted walnuts or chocolate chips.

Clinton Street Baking Co.
Website.Clinton Street Baking Co.
Neighborhood.Lower East Side
Address. 4 Clinton St, New York, NY 10002
Clinton St. Baking Company was born in 2001 to prodigy chef Neil Kleinberg. A native New Yorker, Kleinberg honed his skills in the kitchen from a young age and opened his first restaurant. At 22 years old. First opened as a bakery, the establishment’s popularity gave them an opportunity to expand into the restaurant business.
The famous pancakes are the biggest draw, that dish alone earns Clinton St. Baking a place on our list. Topped with wild Maine blueberry compose, these are easily some of the best pancakes in New York City.

Local tip. A little secret I picked up from a local. the back patio is where the magic happens. Skip the main room.
Chez Ma Tante

When Chez Ma Tante opened in 2018 it was named one of the best new restaurants in the country by GQ. The New York Times and The New Yorker both applauded the joint for serving the most delicious pancakes in New York City.
The pancakes churning out of the kitchen are fried in a skillet, giving them a crisp outer layer with a satisfying bite as you work your way toward the buttery and soft center.
Word to the wise. Pancakes are only available during weekend brunch, reservations book out two weeks in advance.

Rule of Thirds

Address. 171 Banker St, Brooklyn, NY 11222
Rule of Thirds is a Japanese restaurant offering creative twists on classic dishes, like the cloud-like soufflé pancake. Made with soufflé batter, these are unlike any other pancakes in NYC. Cooked until golden brown and topped with honey maple butter and sesame seeds for a touch of sweetness and nuttiness, the real magic lies in the airy texture. It’s the kind of spot that.

Sunday in Brooklyn

Brunch dreams take flight at Sunday in Brooklyn, where sky-high Sunday Pancakes reign supreme. Made with a secret-recipe buttermilk batter, these pillowy stacks boast a delicate golden crust and soft interior. Not to be outdone, these unique. The atmosphere is buzzy and energetic, exactly the kind of place where you’ll want to linger over your meal.
