Tribeca is one of New York City’s trendiest neighborhoods which means the shops, restaurants and bakeries all have high standards to uphold. Even though it’s known as NYC’s most expensive zip code, the best Tribeca bakeries won’t break the bank (however, they may blow your mind).
I’ve spent the last few years trying cookies, pastries and loaves of bread just to hunt down the best of the best (poor me, I know). In hopes of not letting my efforts go to waste I’ve compiled a worthy list of spots.
<Quick Summary. Looking for tribeca bakeries in Tribeca? Here are my top picks. Grandaisy Bakery, Takahachi Bakery, Frenchette Bakery, and more.

Grandaisy Bakery
Website. Grandaisy Bakery
Address. 250 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013
Is there anything more really good than a bakery named after a grandmother? I doubt it! Grandaisy Bakery is a popular Tribeca bakery that has gained a following for embodying the feeling of delicious baked-goods made from love.
For over a decade, this Tribeca bakery has mastered baking traditional Italian-style bread and handcrafting all the loaves you find stocked on the shelves. Bread isn’t the only thing Grandaisy Bakery has perfected. The pastries are equally as delicious and did I mention they also serve Roman-style pizza?
Roman-style pizza is unlike the traditional pie you may be used to. It’s typically made very thin, crispy and topped with anything but mozzarella and tomato sauce. This one of the best Tribeca bakeries if you’re looking to try something new and is worth the detour.

Takahachi Bakery
Website. Takahachi Bakery
Address.145 Duane St, New York, NY 10013
Takahachi is a small family-owned Tribeca Bakery that blends European, American and Japanese flavors to make unique and innovative Japanese pastries you won’t find elsewhere. The star of the show is the matcha crepe, which is filled with a red bean cream filling.
Another popular item are the buns, and there’s a tons to choose from. Melon pan, red bean, sesame and lemon are just the tip of the iceberg and if you’re lucky enough to get them hot and fresh– it’s an instant addiction. True to form you’ll also find a variety of Japanese teas that are the perfect match to your treats. Brewed fresh and hot you’ll be hard pressed to name better bakeries in Tribeca to spend a chilly day.
Frenchette Bakery
Website. Frenchette Bakery
Locations— 220 Church St, New York, NY 10013
Frenchette Bakery can be found in the Merchant Square Building at the corner Church & Worth Streets. Replacing one of the most popular bakeries in Tribeca (Arcade Bakery, which closed in 2019) Frenchette has found its footing and provides locals with their much needed fix of carbs.
You’ll find all your favorite baked goods at Frenchette, including a kouign amann (think. a caramilized croissant) that will reappear in your dreams. I’ve found that this bakery toes the line of sweetness masterfully, never overdoing it but providing just enough to satisfy a sweet tooth.

Bubby’s
Website.Bubby’s
Address. 120 Hudson St, New York, NY 10013
Technically speaking, Bubby’s is a restaurant and not a bakery in Tribeca, however the treats here are too good not to mention! Owner Ron Silver describes eating here. The popular Tribeca brunch spot offers home-style cooking in a city that can often feel big and distant.
If you’re in mood for some baked-goods, swing by for a meal and make sure to order any of the pastries on the menu. The biscuits with butter and jam are to die for.
But the real reason I felt comfortable adding Bubby’s to our list of the best Tribeca bakeries is largely thanks to the pies you can purchase. Simply go online and order a pie for pick-up and enjoy one of the best desserts NYC has to offer. If at all helpful, I’m a huge fan of the sour cherry pie, perfectly sweet and tart!

This what happens when passion meets a perfect location.
Local tip. Insider move. ask for the off-menu special.
Maman
Website.Maman
Address. 211 W Broadway, New York, NY 10013
Originally started as a French bakery and cafe in SoHo, Maman quickly became a popular spot for impeccable baked goods. This was only magnified when Oprah. I never miss an opportunity to order the quiche, chocolate croissant or their famous macadamia nut cookie. And don’t underestimate their brews, this one of the best bakeries in Tribeca.

Billy’s Bakery
Website. Billy’s Bakery
Address. 75 Franklin St, New York, NY 10013
Billy’s Bakery in Tribeca is a go-to spot for a reliably delicious sweet treat. With a range of tempting cake flavors like banana, lemon raspberry, and coconut, it’s tough to pick just one favorite. The standout, though, has to be their famous icebox cake – layers of fresh whipped cream between crispy chocolate wafers, available in chocolate, peppermint, or vanilla. It’s simply perfect. Whether I’m in the mood for a quick cake fix or a cup of coffee, Billy’s Bakery never disappoints.

Unpopular opinion. I’ll die on this hill. Table of Contents. Bakeries in Tribeca NYC makes the best pastries in all of New York City.
Duane Park Patisserie
Website.Duane Park Patisserie
Address. 179 Duane St, New York, NY 10013
The mastermind behind one of the best Tribeca bakeries Madeline Lanciani, is just as impressive as the treats she sells. The pastry chef started her career with a bang by being the first female chef to have worked at the famous Plaza Hotel.
Throughout Lanciani’s career, she bopped around the Big Apple working in some of the city’s top restaurants. Eventually in 1992, Lanciani settled down and established Duane Park Patisserie, one of Tribeca’s best bakeries.
All treats are made from scratch. in house, using only the highest quality ingredients. You can taste the freshness and care that is baked into all the goods with just one bite.. I’d love to sit here and tell you what’s worth ordering but honestly I can’t pick just one. Everything I’ve ever had here has somehow been “my favorite”.
Mah-Ze-Dahr (Brookfield Place)
Website. Mah-Ze-Dahr
Address. 230 Vesey St, New York, NY 10281
Chocolate cake has to be mentioned when talking about the best bakeries in Tribeca. A fan favorite since its inception, you can find it at grocery stores, bodegas, cafe’s and half the restaurant in Manhattan. However I have yet to find a slice as good as Mah-Ze-Dahr’s.
The cake is thick, I don’t mean the slice, I mean the cake itself is dense. It’s rich, and it’s heavy because it’s moist. The frosting is equally jam packed with flavor. The original location is located in the West Village. However, recently Mah-Ze-Dahr expanded to Brookfield Place. bringing one of the best bakeries to Tribeca.
Chip City
Website. Chip City
Address. 325 Greenwich St, New York, NY 10013
Opened in 2017, Chip City has really made a name for itself when it comes to the NYC cookie scene. Among top competitors like Levain, many locals dare to claim Chip City as their personal favorite in the city. And it’s not without good reason! If you love cookies that are larger than life, then Chip City is the spot for you. This one of those bakeries in Tribeca you can smell from a mile away. I mean who doesn’t just drool at the scent of freshly baked cookies?
In an effort to keep to keep things fresh and exciting, Chip City rotates four cookie flavors, daily. The reason this one of the best bakeries in Tribeca is because the odds of you getting a warm cookie are high.
